The Modesto Bee reported yesterday that local real estate agent, Gerry Roberts was fired from Prudential Realty for speaking to the media about a knife found in the home he recently purchased...a home that previously belonged to Scott & Laci Peterson. Roberts purchased the home on July 1, 2005 and discovered a knife which appeared to be stained red on the blade and handle. He released photos of the knife to a tabloid and granted interviews to newspapers and television stations to discuss his finding. His employer, Prudential Realty had warned him about speaking to the media and apparently didn't like him wearing a Prudential polo shirt on camera and subsequently released him. The knife has been sent to police forensic labs for testing, and Gerry Roberts will now be looking for a new job!
