The concept of link farming has been around for a while, and it definitely still works, but you need to be very careful about how you approach this method. The old days of the link wheel are gone, and Google has started to crack down on obvious forms of manipulation. If done right, it can really help, but it can also really hurt!

great topic and raises some areas of concern. I think the main idea is that it must be organic natural communication. nice ideas with additional seperate blogs for homes sold, market reports, etc. I had a few sites myself and chose to focus on one detailed blog rather than servicing numerous sites. Time will tell what the right answer is.

I have also seen many sites on the top of Google's pages that have very few links inbound. What is the story with that? I think the PageRank may factor in? I don't mess around with link farms or link exchanges. I'm skeptical....
